Guided Growth Counseling, LLC

Let us help you grow.

Our Mission

Founded in 2023, Guided Growth Counseling, LLC is owned and operated by Kaitlyn Hay, MA, LPC, NCC, CCTP-II. We are an expanding practice dedicated to aiding clients. We work with clients in a variety of formats, including individually, as couples, in groups, and as families. We see clients of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you need support during a life transition or just want to talk, we are here to help.

At Guided Growth Counseling, we are committed to providing you, either in person or via tele-mental health, quality services that match the core qualities of counseling: autonomy, nonmaleficence, beneficence, justice, fidelity, and competency.

Following this commitment, we believe that one of the most important aspects of successful counseling is the therapeutic relationship; therefore, our clients are met with empathy and unconditional positive regard. Every client at Guided Growth is a respected partner in their own treatment, as we acknowledge that the client is the expert on their own life. We value the client’s honesty and trust in the therapeutic process.

We work to create a safe and non judgemental environment for all clients to feel that they are free to express themselves in an open and honest manner, knowing that their privacy is respected. Our clients should always know that we have their best interests in mind.

She approaches counseling from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand the clients’ problems and to develop solutions; however, she often employs expressive and creative approaches for her child clients, which include play and art.

In addition to her private practice, Kaitlyn is in a PhD program at the University of Holy Cross. She is also a full time school counselor. She presents at National and State counseling conferences. Her research interests include Counselors who work with Survivors of Sex Trafficking, Suicide in a School Community and the Aftermath, Counselors’ Attitudes Towards Suicide, and the Supervisor and Intern Relationship.
